K now let me tell you a bit about how I got into all this...
It didn't take long working "normal" jobs in the fashion industry (fashion design degree graduate here 👋🏻) for me to figure out I wasn't made for it. They made me miserable on a level that I couldn't justify.
Because I spent the first part of my life doing things I hated and saying yes to things I wanted to say no to, it took me awhile to figure out what an alternative would actually look like.
I ran a photography business for over a decade. I knew I needed to be an entrepreneur of some sort. Photography allowed me to do that, but it never quite took off. Don't get me wrong, I'm a good photographer. But there was always something in me that held me back, that never allowed me to take my business as far as it could go.
Cut to - a few years of deep diving into personality theories and astrology...I was completely hooked on them. I could remember the information effortlessly. I saw the world through the lens of these systems. I remembered the types and placements of almost everyone I knew.
"Wait...could I actually make money doing something that is fun and easy for me?" In my mid 20's the thought occurred to me for the first time to try to turn the things that came easily to me into my job. Up to that point I had just assumed the level of misery I experienced trying to make money was just normal. (I'm pretty sure at this point that it's not).
So...I set out on a several year journey trying to figure out how to blend personality and photography together.
It was through reading Jan Spiller and Pam Gregory's books talking about the Midheaven axis that something eventually clicked.
